Story’s pretty good, but it finishes a bit too cleanly. Every character seems to have changed, whereas a closer look at how a few of them changed would have been more interesting. I keep thinking that it would have been better if the big one would have hit. Then a slow fade to black, a title card saying “2 years later,” and then the President’s speech, the reporter and her baby, and Elijah and his family amongst the ruins.

It’s surprising realism is what made it appealing. Effects are pretty good. Would have been great to get a shot of their POV from the comet as they looked up and saw the tail streaming away from them.

Decent casting, mediocre acting.

I guarantee that this will be better than Armageddon, destined to suffer from Emmerich/Bay disease.
