OK, what is it, a romance? Action? Suspense? Mystery? Horror? Thriller? Comedy? Film noir? It doesn’t work as a combination. If they had picked one and gone with it, it might have been good. Chevy in a dramatic role doesn’t work. He just needs to be goofy. It could have been more effective as a comedy if they had given Chevy and Goldie more screentime together and developed their relationship a bit more. They obviously work well together, as they did in Seems Like Old Times.

As a horror, it used many Psycho-esque fast-cut close-ups of ugly, scary-looking men. As a comedy, there were a few cheap gags that don’t do much for the story. And that was an absolutely horrible fight scene between the old man (who is usually a very funny actor) and the woman.

It was cool seeing Chevy of the 70’s and comparing Chevy of the 80’s. Chevy of the 80’s was better. He seems to have matured a bit more or something. Chevy of the 90’s is a dork.
