Thoughts on every movie I've ever seen.

Truly all over the place, from well-shot action to over-the-top gore to funny dialogue to bad dialogue to great effects to bad effects. I’m not quite sure what to make of it all. You can tell by the length, extent of the story, and effects that this was a big movie that took a lot of effort. Vaughn had a blast making it, I’m sure.

Pretty good performances from mostly new faces as the leads. Egerton has a rugged, Josh Hartnett sort of appeal and really came into his own when he put the suit on. Firth was and always is the perfect English gentleman. Can he do anything else? Jackson’s lisp was just plain annoying. Was it supposed to be funny?

Reminiscent of TV’s “The Avengers” and “Get Smart”, with some obvious Bond references.
