Thoughts on every movie I've ever seen.

Once Upon a Time in the West (1968)

Directed by Sergio Leone

Starring Henry Fonda, Charles Bronson, Claudia Cardinale, Jason Robards

Author

Each scene is shot and scored like it is the climax of the movie when there’s really nothing going on at all. What you end up with is an extremely boring movie without a story and full of anticlimaxes. The excruciatingly slow camera movements and still shots lull you to sleep.

I tried 5 times to get past the first 20 minutes. And it’s almost 3 hours long.

Bronson is moderately cool. The fact that he doesn’t look like your typical hero is part of what makes him interesting. Unfortunately, the dubbing is really distracting.
