Jeff's Reviews

Thoughts on every movie I've ever seen.

Rebecca (1940)

Directed by Alfred Hitchcock

Starring Laurence Olivier, Joan Fontaine, George Sanders, Judith Anderson

Decent story, but bit cheesy at times, a bit slow. Not good enough to support its length. I’ve seen the basic story somewhere else before, in another movie, I think.

Just another one of the old movies where most of the screentime sets up for a long monologue near the end where everything comes together. It gets old pretty quick.

Why all important characters in the old movies talk with an English accent? No one speaks American English.
