She Wore A Yellow Ribbon (1949)

Directed by John Ford

Starring John Wayne, Joanne Dru, John Agar, Ben Johnson

Author

It’s a good thing it wasn’t a blue ribbon. Hell, it didn’t deserve any ribbon. It was hard to find anything good about the film. I feel bad giving a classic western like this one such a bad rating, but it was just plain bad. Sleep is more exciting than this movie. There was not really any climax to the film. Come to think of it, there wasn’t really any upward motion at all. And what’s the significance of the title?

And was that John Wayne in his prime? What a slob, and a horrible actor.
