Thoughts on every movie I've ever seen.

The Last Supper (1995)

Directed by Stacy Title

Starring Cameron Diaz, Ron Eldard, Annabeth Gish, Jonathan Penner

Author

Tried to be a very deep philosophical and political piece, but it got old, approaching preachiness at points. Not enough of a movie. Maybe she should have just written a book.

Implausible. Would these kids keep having people over after killing someone? Would these guests never tell anyone where they were going for dinner?

Nice cast. Paxton, I must say, was perfect. He doesn’t try to play the generic hero, but instead capitalizes on his off-beat presence and creates a marvelously evil character. Great having stars like that dying left and right. Penner is a stud. Don’t know what his inconsistent sexual relationship with his girlfriend had to do with anything, though. Butchy, smart female cop very similar to the one in Fargo. Music doesn’t quite fit right.
