The dialogue is very scripted. If you close your eyes, it sounds like a run-through of the script itself. And that really prevents us from believing the characters are genuine. It becomes very obvious that we’re watching a movie.
The premise is interesting, but it might have been more effective if it had drawn us in at the beginning.
