It’s fine having a weird main character, but when everyone is weird, or if everyone acts as if the main character is not being weird, it doesn’t work. When people do not act and react in realistic ways, the story is not realistic. And I won’t even get into the blatant disregard for science or law.
The repetitive shots of a forlorn Rhoda staring off into the distance and yearning for a greater purpose get old really quick.
But in the end, it’s an interesting premise. The last shot is kind of cool.
