Thoughts on every movie I've ever seen.

Clear and Present Danger (1994)

Directed by Phillip Noyce

Starring Harrison Ford, Willem Dafoe, Anne Archer, Joaquim de Almeida

Author

This movie was quite long, but good enough to support its length. The movie was pretty unspectacular as a whole, except for one great shootout scene with a row of white trucks. The only thing I really hold against this movie is that it is just another in a long line of movies about the endangerment of national security through the government, following in the footsteps of In the Line of Fire and Patriot Games, which Harrison Ford also starred in. Without Ford, this movie would be shit.

Either Harrison Ford is just getting old, or he did a great job acting as a goofy, physically incoordinated government agent. He did do a great job with his role, as good as he could have done in a weak plot like this one. It is interesting how the President is so blatantly portrayed as a bumbling idiot.

Is it me, or did the drug lord’s henchman look like Lyle Lovett?
