Spacey turns in another engaging portrayal of a guy who’s just a little bit off. This is an updated Starman, and ironically, Bridges plays the normal guy in this one.
The only thing that convinces me that he is in fact an alien is his detailed knowledge of his star system. But the movie leaves us with a nice, open-ended finish.
Softley seems to know what he’s doing. Nice story, beautifully shot, nice piano music. Almost quirky enough to be Coen brothers movie.
