Cute and touching, one of Reitman’s best. Arnold looks cool with a beard. I think this is the only time we get to see him with one, and the only time we get to hear him speak German. Reitman finds a way to get most of Arnold’s classic lines in there. The kids are amazingly natural. I wonder how they did it. Just like in The Beastmaster, a vicious ferret saves the day.
