A little trippy and confusing. When the main characters have an opportunity to clarify the multi-threaded story, they cop out with an “I don’t wanna talk about time travel shit!” line of dialogue. Lame. Nevertheless, I like how it all comes together. Great ending.
Gordon-Levitt has been around for a while, but I’ve always found him to be smug, squinty, shifty, and annoying. But he was good in Inception, I liked his small role in The Dark Knight Rises, and he really puts on a good show here. Has he finally turned the corner and become a real actor?
His prosthetics are a little creepy at first but work once you get used to them. The nose is great, but the eyebrows are a bit heavy. Despite all that, he does a fantastic job adopting Willis’ mannerisms and expressions.
Gagnon is sensational. Big future for that kid.
