Strange how it seemingly has no connection to the first film. Why use the same title? To sucker unsuspecting viewers like myself to see it?
Overall, it’s a little slow, with most scenes featuring people in dramatic clothes and dramatic lighting looking at each other dramatically. There’s not a whole lot of action, though the swordplay, the fighting on and around the elephant, and the action at the end of the movie are all quite impressive.
Jaa can still move, but his screentime seems a bit limited. Way too much time is spent on the young Tien. They got a great actor for the part, but but we spend entirely too much time watching him stare soulfully at things.
