Rambo’s a very lucky guy. Had anyone else in the film been properly trained for combat instead of standing up in a shower of bullets or hesitating at the chance to kill him, he’d be dead. Didn’t like the fact that they used camera tricks and super close-ups rather than true action in a few of the scenes.
Characters are stereotypes, just like your typical action movie. Stallone is OK. The girl is pretty cute, but her accent was horrible. No dialect. She spoke perfect English without the articles.
Cameron co-wrote, and you could definitely tell. Same 80’s semi-atonal synth Terminator-like music, same one-liners, same “technology fails” motif. Monitor-projected-on-the-face shot from 2001.
