Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003)

Pretty good for a non-Cameron installment. They actually came up with a story worth telling, which was my biggest concern. Mostow stays pretty faithful to the original movies and, by introducing inevitable self-destruction, finds a way for the story to keep going.

I think Arnie will now abandon movies and turn to politics, but in a few years will return for a cameo in T4 as the Terminator that John Connor creates, patterned after a military ally and close friend.

Except for a few awkward movements, Loken does surprisingly well. Nice to see Silberman back. Action’s not bad, and effects are pretty good except for a few shots of Arnie’s scratched up face.
