Long as fuck. Less of a story than the first. Not much of a story at all, actually. More metaphorical and contemplative, a “get to know the characters” piece.
Pretty gory for an older movie, too bad it’s not well done. But even though it’s cheesy, the cheesy gore added to the flavor of the movie.
De Niro was good as a young Brando. Neat seeing De Niro so young. Too bad they used so much make-up on him that he became generic-looking and was no longer De Niro.
Same color scheme as the first one. Was that the way the film was shot? Or is that the decomposing film stock?
