The only cool role Keifer ever had. Patric is mostly there to be good-looking. Feldman and Haim are always a fun, goofy duo. Wiest is great at playing the lonely single mother (here and Parenthood). Herrmann gives a good performance which could have really shined in a more dramatic movie. Like Teen Wolf, an unassuming father figure turns out to be a monster. Weird how these sorts of themes repeated in the 80’s
Unfortunately, the potential drama and borderline adult themes are ruined by attempts at light comedy. The Grandpa character is just dumb. And the cheesy synth music really dates it.
Odd focus on Tim Cappello at the beginning. What’s with the Jim Morrison poster? It looks so much like Patric, and showing it is just confusing.
