After Alien, Prometheus, and this, seems that Scott’s good at making space movies. And like any good space movie, this one’s made more realistic by being a bit heavy on the engineering. I wonder how much of what went on was really viable vs. fictionalized.
Damon as abandoned astronaut, again. He undergoes a body transformation like Hanks in Castaway, only it turns out this one was CGI. Still, it’s a great effect, as good as the job on Sam Worthington in Avatar. A nice dose of comedy from Damon keeps the movie from getting bogged down in dry engineering talk.
