Another funny one. Just plain stupid, and just plain hilarious. Fits right into the Airplane series, and I think this was the lower-budget (and funnier) predecessor to Naked Gun. I think Naked Gun tried too hard to be funny, while this one was just a naturally funny story.
Movies like Top Secret are funny because they succeed in doing what they attempt, being a movie so stupid it is funny. However, other movies, like Dumb and Dumber, are just plain stupid, because they try to be funny without acknowledging its stupidity. Not only was it successful in its attempt to make a stupid movie, but it was successful in its mockery of abused and clicheed film conventions.
