The story follows Lymon up and down but doesn’t really go anywhere. Being biographical isn’t enough. Nava tries to make it artsy with various film stocks and editing but they don’t improve the film at all.
Music sequences are lively but the dubbed singing takes away from them. Nice cast but the acting is merely OK.
