OK, so Fin likes trains. He hates everything else, and he’s cold and nasty to just about everyone. Why should we give a shit about this guy? Oh, because he’s a dwarf. Everyone looks at him, he’s ridiculed and socially shunned. Life is so unfair. Got it. Can we be any more on the nose about this?

If anyone was as reclusive and surly as Fin, dwarf or not, everyone would just tell him to fuck off. But no, Olivia or Joe always show up, ready to make every scene painful. Olivia is intolerable. And no heterosexual dude would like another dude as much as Joe likes Fin. Isn’t that just about the dumbest place that a guy from Manhattan would want to park a food truck? I wanted train to come and hit all three of them.

The characters are made more even annoying by everyone’s shit performance and awful dialogue. Really horrible comedy.

There’s hardly a story here, and it moves very slowly. Things don’t happen, characters don’t really change. Scenes are nearly aimless and drag on, going nowhere. Goofy music doesn’t make a scene where nothing happens any better. It’s almost offensive. Confrontations and situations are predictable and forced and unproductive. By the end of the movie, we don’t know if anything has really been accomplished by any of these characters. There’s been almost no personal growth for any of them, and relationships remain ambiguous.

Nothing smart or entertaining about this movie. It is beyond me how it has such high ratings.
