Interview with the Vampire (1994)

This is the best vampire movie I have seen. It, for the first time, deals with the subject matter in a mature and realistic way, allowing us to take a serious look at the vampire world and its myths, truths, and feelings. It didn’t have “eerie incoherence” like Bram Stoker’s…

Junior (1994)

Cute, but I was expecting something a little funnier. Is it me, or is Arnie starting to show some subtle signs of aging?

Legends of the Fall (1994)

Good characters and some pretty interesting philisophical messages. Aidan was good.

The Lion King (1994)

Another Disney product. They have a formula, and it works. Great animation, good music. I could do without the traditional Disney musical numbers, but that’s just me. Lots of celebrity voices. Is Jones the perfect choice for Mufasa or what?

Little Women (1994)

A bit slow at first, but it quickly grew on me. By the end, I noticed that I had actually developed a bond with those girls. But the end had hardly any impact and did not punctuate the movie like endings are supposed to.

Love Affair (1994)

The film was a surprisingly good love story for someone like Warren Beatty being the star. I bet it was easier for them being husband and wife. The first segment of the movie is a little slow-moving. It picks up a little later as it gets more emotional. The characters,…

Frankenstein (1994)

Pretty good adaptation of the novel. Interesting to see that Dr. Frankenstein in fact was not a short old man with white hair who used lightning to animate his monster. Some of the kissing was cheesy. De Niro was good.

Natural Born Killers (1994)

Extreme cinematography for an extreme statement. It’s definitely different, but only mildly interesting and gets old. Aside from the Juliette Lewis reapperance, it reminded me a lot of From Dusk Till Dawn. Woody definitely portrayed a genius (cool comment about industry and murder). My stand? Animals kill for a reason,…

PCU (1994)

A pretty funny movie. The comedy was pretty good despite a weak central character and undeveloped plot. An in-depth plot (and a longer story) could have made this movie great. Is it me, or would Jeremy Pevin look exactly like O.J. Simpson if he had dark skin?

Léon: The Professional (1994)

Some awesome scenes, both artistically and dramatically. A lot of fun to watch. Really nice foreign flavor.
