My Big Fat Greek Wedding (2002)

Just didn’t think it was funny. Obvious humor, not much drama. Although you can give credit to Vardalos for getting this movie made, the movie feels like it’s all about her, and that’s not a good thing.

Good reality-based story with similar appeal as X-Men, but not good enough to be one of the highest-grossing films ever. Funny how all super-hero stories are actually the same. Maguire was actually a nice choice, but Dunst is a bit shifty. Would have liked someone like Gellar in that role…

Some segments are very faithful to the script (perhaps even more faithful than the Wazchowski’s own Matrix sequels) and artfully animated. Others are missing something.
