Back then, Pacino had a really nasal voice, but not anymore. Pacino plays a Fletch-like role with his changing outfits. No scar from a bullet in the face? Judd Hirsch? First in a long line of movies with flashforwards (showing the ending first), like in Carlito’s Way.
