Goofball, low-brow comedy, much in the same vein as Candy’s Summer Rental. Raccoons with subtitles and rock-themed circus music playing? Really?
John Hughes intended to direct the picture himself. I wonder how much better it would have been if he had.
Lucy Deakins is cute in a rebellious yet accessible Jean Louisa Kelly-in-Uncle Buck sort of way. This seems to have been a recurring John Hughes character.
