It gets its rating for being different, like The Devils. It’s refreshing to see movies like this once in a while. Made by an NYU student (wouldn’t this have made a great thesis film?) who went on to direct feature films. Amazing.
Amazingly political, with blatant and brave depictions of blacks and neo-nazis in revolution. A landmark film in that it tackles these issues in a medium usually reserved for kids. The language, graphic nudity, and drugs are apalling at first, but you get used to it and laugh after a while. The film showcases drugs and needles and tries to be a cool movie in doing so, a lot like Pulp Fiction in that sense. It also uses strange cinematography, sometimes to embellish drug use and at other times for no reason, again like Pulp Fiction.
Bad animation, timing, dialogue, overall bad technique. The death scenes with gunshots were really intense.
Mom and Dad went to see it. Hilarious.
