A nice love letter to Nolan, though it’s sweetly just as much about his wife Ruth. Seeing and hearing the love from his family makes the Hall of Fame speech at the end more touching.
Great interviews. Shame Ventura couldn’t man up for this one. But interspersing the interviews and real footage with dramatic slo-mo of another actor was kind of weak. Know what would have been better? Spending the time and energy to restore and enhance some of the old footage the way Peter Jackson did in They Shall Not Grow Old.
I liked it because of how much of a baseball fan I am, but I fear it might be boring for others.
