Ledger is kinda dorky. He tries real hard to be the man but I’m just not sure that he can do it. I’m a bit disappointed with this choice at this point in his career.
Stock story, the accents are inconsistent. A Nike Swoosh? An electric guitar in the score? A Mexican dude in he crowd? Chaucer is the only interesting and entertaining character (funny how Bettany always plays geniuses). Adhemar is a cookie-cutter bad guy, then you have your typical fat guy and brute characters. Joselyn is unappealing. The chick looks like Madeleine Stowe.
