Once again, Tarantino revels in contemporized 70’s camp while using quirky vocabulary, obscure scientific facts, and comic book/superhero references to keep the dialogue moving. With gross, realistic detail and sketchy situations, Tarantino is good at making us uncomfortable.
His usual cast, but Uma is the centerpiece here. You can tell Tarantino loves her. The 70’s star he chooses to resurrect in this film is David Carradine.
Tarantino really draws this one out, though. This one could have been a lot shorter. Would have been best if both movies had been compressed into a single, shorter movie.
