Touching, but the execution of the story is a bit off in certain scenes. A cross between Grumpy Old Men and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Strange how the aliens of all of the 80’s movies look the same. Effects are pretty good.
Acting by the old guys, especially Wilford, is really good. Gutenberg almost ruins it but manages to pull it off. Welch is hot, yet another brunette with short hair in the 80’s. Surely she got some of her looks from her Mom. Good to see Harrison again, but too bad she can’t act.
