A typical Disney affair, with a cookie-cutter storyline and typical stereotypes. Tradition frowns upon a young, beautiful girl, who then decides to slap tradition in the face to show that she can play with the big boys, and in doing so, meets the man of her dreams, who disapproves of her at first but comes to love her by the end of the movie.
Like most other Disney movies of late, a short but fabulous dramatic sequence with alternative, overstylish animation. Would like to see a whole movie done that way.
Murphy has a few good lines as Mushu. Grandma looked like Mr. Magoo.
