Seven Pounds (2008)

The last few minutes are dramatic, but the build-up doesn’t keep me. For 95% of the time we’re watching the film, we’re watching a guy who is obviously conflicted doing things we don’t understand. Is the ending worth the wait? Not sure it is. Why the title?

Deja Vu (2006)

A few plot holes, which you’re bound to have with a time travel movie. Denzel is Denzel. Caviezel’s pretty sinister in this one. Patton is delicious. Polished, glossy photography from Tony Scott, but the editing and sound effects for some of the “high-tech” scenes are a bit cheesy.
