A tough act to follow. Obviously, not as original as the first. The plot’s a bit convoluted, everyone one-ups each other with the same enigmatic dialogue, the fight scenes are a bit too CGIed, the timing’s a bit off (witness the super-long tribal dance scene). Something’s just not quite right…

Good, but somehow lacking the appeal of the first one. Some nice action scenes but not enough of them. Cool characters. Nightcrawler was fantastic, and Hugh Jackman continues to be a stud. This is Jackman’s defining role.
