Directed by Adrian Lyne

Starring Richard Gere, Diane Lane, Olivier Martinez, Erik Per Sullivan

A disturbing but well-made psychological journey. Interesting exploration of how a jealous man can drive away his wife. Hits home for any guy who’s ever been remotely jealous before. He took it pretty well, all things considered.

Artfully done. Beautiful direction, credit graphics, montage sequences, and music. The understated direction helps draw you into the story and their minds to make it more intense. Nicely built tense moments. Fabulously scene when he confronts her lover.

Superb acting by everyone, especially Lane who plays a tormented soul with perfection and deserved an Oscar. She’s older but still damn sexy. Gere may have been miscast. He’s usually the guy who is so on top of things, yet he seems so dopey throughout. Would have loved to see Harrison Ford in this role. He seems to play a better victim.
