Slow at the beginning, but it gets better as it goes on. Neat extra footage at the end. Some really neat cool effects (even cooler than most are today), but they don’t make the whole movie. The preachy social commentary with the alien TV was decent. It changes the tone of the whole movie. Parts reminded me a lot of 2001: A Space Odyssey, 2010, and Cocoon.
Ed Harris comes across as physically strong and coordinated. Was he a former wrestler? Bodybuilder?
