Curtis has made something that is polished, cute, fun, and unpredictable. It combines the heart, wit, wonderfully snappy dialogue, and English charm of Love Actually with the a “how can I live each day best” exploration that’s in Groundhog Day.
Gleeson is exceptionally funny, and magnetic. McAdams is undeniably cute. Nighy always good.
Ignoring all the usual time travel paradoxes is the only way to enjoy this one. A short explanation of what Mary, an American girl, was doing in England would have been nice.
