Like WarGames (another Badham movie) and Red Dawn and Spies Like Us and many other movies of the early 80’s that take a distrustful look at military technology and the people who use it. This was at the forefront of people’s minds at the time.
Helicopters were in vogue around this time, with the Airworlf TV series starting a year later.
Scheider is always appealing, but the movie’s pretty lame.
