Thoughts on every movie I've ever seen.

Brewster’s Millions (1985)

Directed by Walter Hill

Starring Richard Pryor, John Candy, Lonette McKee, Stephen Collins

Author

The early 80’s really was a tough time for movies, especially comedies. We lost our sense of humor for a few years there.

Silly premise, and not very funny. One of the many rags-to-riches stories that were so common in the early 80’s, most of them featuring a wise-cracking, street-smart black guy (Trading Places, Beverly Hills Cop, Secret of My Success).

Hard to believe that Back to the Future was made the same year as this one.
