Thoughts on every movie I've ever seen.

Your typical story about a ugly, telekinesian girl with the personality of a corn flake. Pretty good horror, but a tad boring at times. That “Eat shit!” at the beginning is hilarious. It was pretty gross when the Mom’s ? was caught on the wall. But the house descending into Hell was a bit much. That hand reaching out of the rocks at the girl’s arm scared everyone in the theater, including me. Frightening ending. What was he trying to say with this film?

You feel so sorry for Spacek that it’s scary. She’s super-freaky. She looks like an alien, but especially at the end. Spacek’s stare and “alien” walking was more scary than what was going on in the scene. Travolta’s not too great. Katt reminds me a lot of Karl Mortensen. One of the other characters looked like Coby Cook. Cool seeing Edie McClurg so young.

In many ways, your typical cheesy 70’s film. Way too much camera spinning in that dancing scene. Then again, maybe it was done for a purpose (her movement into the world of love). Nice Psycho music imitation and Psycho stabbing.
