Thoughts on every movie I've ever seen.

Cinema Paradiso (1988)

Directed by Giuseppe Tornatore

Starring Antonella Attili, Enzo Cannavale, Isa Danieli, Leo Gullotta

A celebration of film. Great flavor. It kinda feels like it could have been an autobiography. Could you imagine turning something like this in with my film application?

Perhaps the perfect date movie. Ranks as one of my favorite foreign films. Great photography, music, acting, characters. A lot of magical moments, thanks to the cinematography and the story. If there were any knocks against it, it was that the story ran a bit slow. Like Braveheart, it introduces things and them wraps them all up so neatly at the end. Great ending, but a dumb way to start the credits. How about letting the film reel run out and then fade to black?
