Thoughts on every movie I've ever seen.

G.I. Joe: The Movie (1987)

Directed by Don Jurwich

Starring Charles Adler, Shuko Akune, Jack Angel, Jackson Beck

Author

The animation leaves soemthing to be desired. It’s no different than typical weekday afternoon fare from the 80’s. The story was a bit edgier with Duke’s “coma”, but there are too many moral lessons along the way, again just like weekday cartoons.

Same kind of story, political struggles, animation, effects, characters, voices, and music as Transformers. I guess that formula really worked in the 80’s.

Lady Jay is by far the hottest Joe, but unfortunately we don’t hear a peep from her.
