Striptease (1996)

A few pretty funny moments. Bergman is probably the one to credit for those. Heavily romaticized. If only stripping was truly that respectable. Patrick is terrific as the slimeball. Ving and Burt are good too. Demi’s hot but not my type. Good music. Didn’t know the Eurythmics were still cool.

Pretty crappy. It had a little of that Jurassic Park cheesiness/corniness in it which ruined some parts, but again this one was saved by its great special effects. It seemed as if they tried to make it for both kids and adults, which can be a costly mistake in movie-making.…

Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997)

A few funny moments, but lots of bad comedy. Revels in the campy past, like Tarantino’s work (only this is the 60’s, not the 70’s). Myers is just not very funny. Hurley, of course, is hot.
