Thoughts on every movie I've ever seen.

Rosemary’s Baby (1968)

Directed by Roman Polanski

Starring Mia Farrow, John Cassavetes, Ruth Gordon, Sidney Blackmer

Author

Not for pregnant women to see. It’s almost a horror film. Somehow, it reminded me a bit of The Exorcist.

Farrow was hot. She looked a bit like the girl from Species. Her performance was pretty good, too. A really freaky dream sequence, but I can see now why he made it like that. She really should of killed the baby at the end with her knife or something. Her embrace of evil says something about Polanski’s view of the world.

Interesting conflict between Farrow and the rest of society. She knows what’s right and society condemns her, kind of like Allie in The Mosquito Coast. It’s the same kind of conflict that a genius character would have.

Charles Grodin?! I didn’t know he was acting this early.
