This is a cheaply made, poorly made TV show. Seemingly just another episode of “Firefly”. I never watched it, but should I have to? There are a lot of things I don’t know, a lot of background I’m missing, and a lot of things I don’t care about. It’s annoying that one needs to be familiar of the show to get any enjoyment out of this movie.
Cast and acting and dialogue are all second-rate. Everyone is super-stiff. Fillion plays Han Solo-like character, but he’s nowhere near as charming. Nice to see Adam Baldwin again.
A lot of it seems a cheap rip-off of Star Wars. There’s even a bar scene that plays like the Mos Eisley Cantina. In this futuristic time of amazing technology, the only weapons they have are pistols and shotguns?
