Cleared up a lot of history that I wasn’t too sure about. Learned more about Jewish traditions than I ever did at a Passover Ceder. A great springboard for religious conversation. On the way home from the movie, Melissa caught me up on 3000 years of theology.

Aside from the noticeable shifts from computer to cel animation, the visuals are pretty good. The mural dream and Red Sea sequence were great. God is cool.

Lots of star voices, but unfortunately Stewart and Goldblum were the only ones distinctive enough for me to notice. Not too sure why they chose Val for Moses AND God. Were they trying to say something? Didn’t like all the singing, would have liked it more if they had concentrated more on making it a realistic depiction rather than a musical. What was the last animated feature without singing?
