Thoughts on every movie I've ever seen.

To Kill a Mockingbird (1962)

Directed by Robert Mulligan

Starring Gregory Peck, John Megna, Frank Overton, Rosemary Murphy

Author

A classic mostly due to civil rights era in which it was released, the controversial adult themes of rape and forbidden love, and a courtroom drama storyline that was trendy for its time.

Removing its historical significance, it’s a literal screen adaptation of a classic American novel. To me, there isn’t a lot that stands out.
