Thoughts on every movie I've ever seen.

What Lies Beneath (2000)

Directed by Robert Zemeckis

Starring Harrison Ford, Michelle Pfeiffer, Katharine Towne, Miranda Otto

Well-made classic horror. Got a Hitchcock quality to it. Nice, leisurely long takes and very little score helps to make it scary. A few nice camera movements, and a few Kubrickian shots.

Unsettlingly creepy. A good haunted house movie. The bathtub sequence was great.

Ford plays a seedy fucker for the first time ever. Pfeiffer is good but very creepy in a Sissy Spacek kind of way.

An interesting excursion by Zemeckis and his crew from Cast Away, and I think a better movie. I bet Zemeckis had fun making it.
