Something tells me the author’s journey was much more personal and dramatic than the movie was. Not sure all the feeling conveyed properly.
Witherspoon is great, might be her first real dramatic role and she hits it. Her character seems like a good girl, but it’s hard to feel for a character who is revealed to be promiscuous heroin user.
Movie’s got a nice feel, though. Wonderful editing and sound mixing.
